What Sundar Diabetics Dezire Is Made Of
Sundar Diabetics Dezire range of Natural Sugar Substitutes and Indian Sweets are manufactured using Levulose in place of conventional cane sugar. Levulose is the type of Naturally occurring sweet which we find in apples, oranges, etc and has been Internationally recognized as suitable for Type II Diabetics.
How Sundar Diabetics Dezire Benefits Diabetics
Sucrose and glucose produce a rapid rise in blood sugar levels, which gives rise to the need for insulin. This means diabetics need to carefully control the amount and types of sugar that they consume on a daily basis.

However, Levulose does not cause this rapid rise in blood sugar levels because it has a Low Glycemic Index and is NOT insulin dependent for its metabolism.

The Fruit Sugar (Levulose) used in Diabetics Dezire Natural Sugar Substitute and Range of Low Glycemic Indian Sweets, does not bring about rapid changes in the blood glucose levels because of it's very low Glycemic Index Value (GI) of Levulose. The GI value of Levulose is as low as 23 whereas the GI of Table Sugar (Sucrose) is 65 and the GI Index of Glucose is 100.

 
What is Glycemic Index?

The Glycemic Index(G.I.) of a food is a measure of the effect that the food has on blood sugar levels. A low G.I. value will mean that the food will have a low impact on raising the blood glucose level. Conversely, a high G.I. will mean that the blood sugar levels are elevated - in some cases into a 'Danger Zone' that will result in need of insulin.

Levulose is classified as being a low G.I. product as it has a Glycemic Index of 23, compared to glucose with a G.I. of 100 and Table Sugar (sucrose) with a G.I. of 65.

How Sundar Diabetics Dezire is Safe for Diabetics
  • A low Glycemic Index (GI) value (23). G.I. is a relative measure of the increase in the blood glucose level after consumption of sweets.
     
  • Safer for Type II Diabetics for, unlike sugar, has very little effect on blood glucose and has a negligible effect on the secretion of insulin.
     
  • Does not induce sharp increase or decrease in sugar level.
     
  • It has a calorific value of 4 Kcal/g. It is also 1.7 times sweeter than sugar. Therefore, lesser quantity is needed and hence calorie savings can be made without loss of sweetness.
