How does Diabetics Dezire taste?
Diabetics Dezire, which is based on fruit sugar (Levulose), will have a natural taste similar to that of sugar but more mellowed. In fact, because of its mellowed sweetness it is used in Royal sweets. Being a natural product found in most fruits, Diabetics Dezire does not have the unpleasent after-taste that you get in artificial sweetners.

Can Diabetics Dezire be taken by Diabetics?
Yes. Levulose, which is used in the manufacture of Diabetics Dezire, is insulin independent and hence can be used by diabetics particularly Type II Diabetics.

Why is Diabetics Dezire Sweets safer and better for Diabetics compared to conventional sweets?

The use of any Carbohydrate source for diabetics is determined by what is known as "Glycemic Index". Glycemic Index is a numerical system of measuring how fast a carbohydrate or sugar triggers a rise in circulating blood sugar: the higher the number, the greater the blood sugar increase. A Low GI value means that the food will have a low impact on raising the blood sugar. Conversely, a high GI will mean that the blood sugar levels are elevated.

Levulose is classified as being a low GI product as it has Glycemic Index of 23,compared to Glucose with a GI of 100,and Table Sugar(Sucrose) with a GI of 65. Thus, because of extremely low GI, Levulose can be safely consumed by diabetics.

What is the calorific value of Levulose used in Diabetics Dezire?
The calorific value of Levulose is the same as normal sugar namely 4kcal per gram. However, since Levulose Diabetics Dezire is approximately 1.7 times sweeter than sugar less quantity is used in the sweet and hence less calorie intake.

Is Levulose approved Internationally?
Fruit Sugar is used all over the world for use in products suitable for diabetics. In fact, Diabetic Cookies, Diabetic Jams, Diabetic Chocolates and other products based on Levulose are available throughout the World, for use by diabetics. However, Sundar Dietetics is the only company manufacturing patented Indian Sweets based  on Levulose.

Is Levulose/Fructose the same as high corn syrup?
Fructose is another name for Levulose. High Fructose corn syrup contains substantial percentage of sugar. However the balance is fructose. Hence high Fructose corn syrup will increase the blood sugar rapidly because of its surcose content. Levulose, on the other hand, does not contain sucrose or glucose and thus will not increase blood glucose level rapidly.
